Operation Iraqi Freedom

U.S. Soldiers from 17th Fires Brigade visit a historical site, the Ziggurat of Ur, Iraq near Contingency Operating Base Adder, May 18. The Ziggurat was constructed by King Ur-Nammu as a place of worship in the 21st century B.C. and today after more than 4,000 years it is one of the most wel-preserved structures of the Neo-Sumerian city of Ur.
