A suicide bomber blew himself up on board a number 12 bus driving down Moshe Baram Street in Jerusalem’s Talpiot neighborhood. The explosion caused the engine to catch fire, setting fire to a second bus standing in traffic alongside as well as other vehicles. 20 people were injured in the attack, one of them suffering serious injuries. Hamas took responsibility for this particular attack, which was one of many during a wave of Palestinian terror centering mainly on Jerusalem in 2015-2016.
